Grade 7 History Fair
For several years, the CCI Reenacting Club, the Alderville First Nations, War of 1812 Reenactors, and local craftspeople have offered an opportunity for Grade 7's to step into the past. Each class attends workshops on both native life and the War of 1812 era. In addition, all classes get to watch displays of native dancing and drumming along with a battle reenactment featuring working muskets and cannons. The public is also encouraged to come and watch this spectacle.
Note******* We will not be running the Grade 7 Event in 2017. We have a joyous conflict (yes, there is such a thing) on the same date that we usually run this event. Brad Robins - commander of the British/Canadian forces for this event - is getting married. His light infantry commander - Matt - is the best man and, yours truly, who normally commands the US light troops is the father of the groom. Needless to say we are going to be busy..... We will be bringing the event back in 2018. Sorry for any inconvenience! ******
