Grade 7 History Fair - Re-enactor and Volunteer Information and Registration

We are hoping you will be able to join us for the Grade 7 History Fair. As you have read, the attendance for the last two fairs exceeded 600 Grade 7 students each year. Grade 7 History covers the War of 1812 and it is our hope this event, with your help, will help to kindle more interest in the War of 1812 and History in this age group!
Presently, the volunteers who help stage this event are: the 1st Kentucky Rifle Regiment, the Royal Artillery, the British 49th Grenadiers, and native allies. We would be happy to have other groups join us. With up to 50 uniformed High School students spread among the re-enactors, it both increases the numbers on the field and provides a pool of people who are willing to be the casualties during the battle.
Help needed: We would appreciate uniformed and armed re-enactors who are willing to take part in a 30-45 minute battle. Also, if you are willing to run a workshop or help the students run their workshops, that would also be appreciated. The site is a wonderful conservation area that has a nice mix of open areas and woods but is right next door to Cobourg's "Fast Food alley".
Supplies: We will supply a lunch (pizza) and water. Hopefully we will be able to provide a bit of a powder allowance as well...
If you are able to attend this event, would you please e-mail the following information to Chris Robins at his private e-mail address (forge.in.the.forest@gmail.com) or at his school address (christopher_robins@kprdsb.ca) 905-372-2191
